In October 2022, Amanda and Nathan shared a beautiful cultural wedding at Tin Roof Barn with their friends and family. Amanda and Nathan come from different backgrounds and cultures that they hoped to honor on their wedding day–we love to see it! Creating a wedding weekend that honored Indian culture and Jewish-American culture was incredibly fun for our team and we are thrilled with how it turned out!
The wedding weekend festivities began on Friday with Amanda and Nathans’s traditional Indian ceremony. This ceremony and celebration took place lakeside, at the Port of Cascade Locks. This venue is a stunning state park located in Cascade Locks, Oregon.
To embrace Indian culture, Amanda’s hands were delicately designed with henna and both she and Nathan wore traditional Indian wedding attire. Their ceremony attire was neutral in shades of beige and ivory, but accents of red decorated their attire to pay homage to Indian culture (where the color red symbolizes love, commitment, and strength). Guests in attendance were all smiles and admired as these two committed to one another and shared a beautiful ceremony.
After I Do, guests were invited to an outdoor cocktail hour where they could grab drinks from a fun Airstream bar. To celebrate, Amanda and Nathan changed into more colorful attire and joined their loved ones to reflect on such a heartfelt ceremony. Amanda and Nathan’s traditional Indian ceremony was such a beautiful way to kick off their wedding weekend. Everyone was excited for these two and the excitement was building for Saturday knowing their love was going to continue to be celebrated.
The wedding weekend continued at one of our favorite venues, the Tin Roof Barn. We absolutely adore this space and love watching how each couple designs it to fit their style! Both Amanda and Nathan got ready with their bridal party and had the best morning.
Nathan and his guys shared a toast as they got into their black suits. Meanwhile, Amanda and the girls celebrated with champagne and laughed as they got their hair and makeup done. The bridesmaids wore different colored dresses connected to the color scheme of the day while Amanda stunned in an incredible lace-detailed gown. Amanda and Nathan picked the perfect color scheme for their cultural wedding at Tin Roof Barn, it was absolutely beautiful and the perfect reflection of early fall in the Pacific Northwest!
A gorgeous chuppah was decorated with greenery and a few pops of flowers. But, Amanda and Nathan kept almost everything about their ceremony design simple. Their traditional Indian ceremony was elaborate and beautifully designed so they wanted this design to be a bit more subtle. Following the ceremony, Amanda, Nathan, and their wedding party signed the ketubah to seal the deal!
Inside the barn, we filled the space with long farm tables and vintage dining chairs. The modern-rustic feel perfectly fit Amanda and Nathan’s style and also allowed them to invite many of their friends and family. Similar to their ceremony, the floral design was minimal. But, they loved this as it allowed their friends and family to chat and eat together without being blocked by giant floral arrangements. Toasts and speeches were shared during dinner. There were laughs, tears, and so many beautiful stories told. Before everyone got the party started on the dance floor Amanda and Nathan cut their wedding cake and filled the iconic champagne tower with rose champagne. Everyone grabbed a glass and was ready to start partying!
The energy was high and infectious for the rest of the night. Amanda and Nathan’s smiles were radiant and perfectly described how their wedding weekend went. It was such a beautiful weekend that allowed two amazing individuals to blend their cultures together as they committed to forever.
