These two sweethearts came to us looking for the inside scoop on planning their elegant, black and white wedding in the Gorge. Luckily for them, we’re experts! We walked McKenna and Tristan through the ins and outs of holding a wedding here in Hood River, Oregon, and eventually they decided to bring us on to help them through the entire process. They trusted us from the start and we were able to execute their gorgeous black and white wedding day with ease. 

Our couple’s wedding day took place at one of our favorite venues, Tin Roof Barn. We of course had to bring all of their stunning details to life with our decor rental company, Details Department. The overall goal for their wedding day was to achieve three different vibes: an English garden, a coastal aesthetic, and an Italian reception. All of the beautiful details allowed McKenna and Tristan’s specific wedding vision to come to life, and we are so thrilled with how it turned out.

McKenna and Tristan are absolutely adorable. Our bride spent the morning with her girls getting ready, drinking champagne, and relishing in all the excitement. Our groom and his guys spent the morning hanging out together with a few beers before they sent him off to the first look with his beautiful bride.

We were all holding back happy tears as they locked eyes in a sweet field, set right in front of the mountain ranges. McKenna and Tristan had heartfelt smiles spread wide across their faces as they admired one another on their wedding day. McKenna looked stunning in her romantic off-the-shoulder wedding dress, and Tristan’s navy blue suit popped against the green landscape; they were a vision.

For their first look, the bride and groom wanted their adorable fur baby to join in on the celebration. This had to be one of our absolute favorite moments of the entire day! Their sweet pup ran right to Mom and Dad and was ready to hop into the family photos. It was adorable!

Elegant Tin Roof Barn Wedding

When planning the big day, McKenna had her ideas ready. She came to us with three different themes for their wedding in the Columbia River Gorge. They wanted the entire day to take place at Tin Roof Barn and they even hired some of our all-time favorite wedding vendors. The true dream team!

To start, the bride wanted her ceremony to feel like a timeless and classic English garden. It was incredibly easy to bring this style to life at Tin Roof Barn, the space makes it incredibly easy to customize to whatever style couples desire. McKenna and Tristan’s English garden wedding ceremony was brought to life in front of the lush garden arch, which was covered in greenery and fresh white flowers. It was such a charming touch and paired perfectly with the floral-lined aisles! The entire wedding design felt like you were walking through a lush and fully-in-bloom English garden.

For cocktail hour, we went for a coastal vibe. Guests enjoyed delicious drinks and light bites in the vibrant evening sun, it truly felt as though we were watching the sunset over the coast! It was amazing to watch McKenna’s vision come to life at a venue we’ve gotten to know so well. There was so much attention to detail and the overall execution of McKenna’s vision was perfect. We loved the ceremony and cocktail hour, however our favorite part of the entire day had to be the reception.

Tin Roof Barn is an iconic wedding venue that we absolutely adore. Every wedding we’ve planned here has been unforgettable. Not only because of how smoothly things go, but also how beautifully they turn out! The bride wanted an Italian-inspired reception and we were just swooning over how the design played out inside the barn. Lush greenery looped across tables and cascaded across the wooden barn walls. It felt as though we were transported from Hood River to the romantic Italian countryside, we were in heaven!
