Get to Know Me

A passionate wedding and event planner, with a knack for detail.

Meet Stephanie

Our couple, Nicole and David, didn’t have a specific theme in mind for their wedding in Washington but they knew they wanted to bring in some inspiration from Nicole’s trip to Venice. They adored the vibrant colors that dressed the buildings and knew those colors would really pop against the moody natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. They came to us with an idea and we helped them create the perfect mood board and color palette. It was colorful, vibrant, playful, and ultimately the perfect color combination for Nicole and David’s wedding day.

The Details

Whenever a wedding is held at Tin Roof Barn we know we’re going to be in love with it from start to finish! The venue already offers such a beautiful space that clients really only need to add a few personal touches. We worked with Roots Wild Floral and they brought Nicole and David’s color palette to life through the floral arrangements. Something I admired about Nicole and David’s taste is how they paid special attention to textures. They opted for incorporating soft touches through a velvet table runner and elegant votives to contrast the rustic barn feel.

Nicole was obsessed with all things floral and knew this had to be a huge element of their ceremony! And let me tell you it was WOW worthy. Their ceremony design was absolutely stunning and felt like a whimsical forest. Our couple was looking forward to spending time with their wedding party right after the ceremony while all other guests were mingling during cocktail hour. To them, it felt like a breath of fresh air! The nerves were gone and it was time to celebrate. They had so much fun taking portraits, running around, and laughing with each other.

Wedding Advice

Something we love to ask our couples after their wedding is what their biggest wedding tips are. Nicole was ready and eager to share her thoughts with our future couples! Her first piece of advice? Make sure you get along with your photographer! You end up spending so much time with them on the day of your wedding, you want it to feel comfortable and fun. Their second tip is to make sure you choose vendors you love and enjoy interacting with. The people who bring your day to life should reflect who you are and understand what makes you, you! Plus, vendors you’re able to communicate well with are going to be able to bring your vision together so much better.

This wedding day was a dream and being able to witness all of these family members and friends dance together on the dance floor was epic. Nicole and David expressed how excited they were for the moment they’ve been waiting for–being able to spend time with all their favorite people post-pandemic. Their wedding was the perfect place for their guests to do that. It was such a magical moment for everyone! The hugs, the laughs, the happy tears! It was a true dream come true and a fairytale wedding in Washington for Nicole and David.

Kind words from the couple

Our newlyweds were kind enough to leave us the SWEETEST review after their wedding day. Nicole shared: “ I really appreciated that Union Event Co got to know us and our personal style rather than just recommending a generic color palette or theme – it made the whole day feel like it was the core of who we were, both as individuals and as a couple! … I would HIGHLY, highly recommend Stephanie to anyone planning their wedding – you will be so grateful to have such a caring planner who is incredibly good at what she does.”

If you’re ready to bring your dream wedding day to life like Nicole and David, send us a message! We would seriously love to get to know you and talk about all the possibilities for your wedding day. Our couples mean the world to us and we promise you’ll be in good hands.
